Dom Bolton

Producer

Founder & CEO Dominic Bolton has been working as an independent producer since 2016, having originally trained as a stage manager at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. 


The year 2017 saw his debut film as producer Padlock directed byBen S. Hyland. Padlock won numerous awards including Best Thriller - New Renaissance Film Festival, Best Film - Bottle Smoke Film Festival & Best Cinematography - Unrestricted View Film Festival. Following the success of Padlock, Dominic teamed up with new writer Max Ward to produce comedy crime caper (A Very) Ham Fisted Stakeout in 2017. 


More recently he has worked in collaboration with Stormy Water Films to produce BFI Network funded short Home By 8.30 - written & directed by Perry White and starring Montel Bowen, Angela Wynter & Sharlene Whyte. He also co - produced the debut film of professional violinist & novelist Melissa Elena Reiner, alongside Sienna Beckman of Emergence Films. Both Duette and Home By 8.30 are due to hit the international festival circuit in 2020. 


As well as film, Bolton sits on the board of London based independent record label Scratch Rock Records as Chief Coordination Officer. He previously managed their flagship band Brain Ape and oversaw it's resurgence in March 2018 before stepping down to focus on film. 


Additionally, he was instrumental in the development and  implementation of the British Red Cross' SafeMates programme. The programme aims to provide peer to peer mental health support to young people at music festivals - an issue he cares deeply about. He was responsible for developing and delivering training across the country as well as carrying out both Bronze and Silver roles at Reading & Download Festivals.
