Smörgåsbord
A queer love story rocked by a
life-altering decision
When Patrick asks Charlie to take their relationship to the next stage Charlie has a revelation that will lead the couple to make a decision from which there’s no turning back.
Through 3 different timelines; a therapy session, the formation of their relationship, and a mountain hike,
Smörgåsbord
tells the story of a queer relationship and wrestles with the arguments surrounding assisted dying; the emotional & the legal, ultimately challenging the characters and the audience to question their stances on the topic.
Original Production
The original production of Smorgasbord was staged at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town in November 2024.
Directed by Scott Le Crass & Jacob Wolstencroft, it starred writer and actor Luke Oliver alongside Conor Mainwearing.
