A New four part series, telling hidden stories from Queer History

Visibility is a series of four short films telling different queer stories: written, directed and produced by members of the LGBTQ+ community.

The project aims to celebrate the existence of queer people throughout history, as well as those today that are often erased in the mainstream media.

Through Visibility, we hope to shine a light on the forgotten histories of our community—both to the wider heterosexual world as well as to the rest of the LGBT+ community.

It isn’t often that queer cinema, and indeed queer narratives within mainstream film & television, are filled with laughs. Often storylines can be depressing and disheartening. Through Visibility, we aim to show the world that whilst there is a great deal of struggle, pain and shame within the community that there is also fight, hope and love.

We want to give a platform to queer writers, directors and performers. Allowing them to tell their own stories without the limits so often imposed by the heteronormative world.
